• Middleware for Embedded Adaptive Dependability (MEAD)

  Middleware system for legacy applications based on the Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA), providing transparent fault-tolerance and resource-aware adaptation.
  MEAD is available for download.

• Eye of the Beholder

  Phone-based text-recognition system for the visually impaired. The user takes pictures of written text from our environment (e.g., restaurant menus, street signs, product expiration dates), and the system uses text recognition and speech synthesis to communicate this information.
