Business Issues Can't Be Ignored
- Compelling advantage required -- new capabilities rather than
       just improved efficiency
  - Engineers are "free" syndrome
  - Cultural inertia
  - Companies must sometimes be forced by circumstances to adopt
       tools; incremental capabilities are not enough
- High tool cost (when $1000 is capital equipment) may be
       unacceptable
- Mechanics of component database & supplier information
       maintenance
- The embedded system marketplace is not the computer system
       marketplace!
