Registration:

Please use one of the following two options to register:

Note: Student tutorial price reduced to $25 student IEEE member; $30 non-member if booked by 1 June 2008. When booking, please put "ST TUTORIAL $25" or "ST TUTORIAL $30" as appropriate in the comments section of the registration form to receive the reduced rate (the rates shown on the form will be the unreduced rate -- think of this as a coupon code if you like). This price is per tutorial, so it is $50 or $60 total if you sign up for both AM and PM tutorials. This is our break-even cost of handouts, facilities, and break refreshments. If you have already registered for DSN, please do an "update" to add the tutorial.

If you want to charge excursion tickets to a different credit card than your registration, then: (1) register and complete that transaction (2) do an update to add excursion tickets using the different credit card information as a separate transaction.

Hotel Reservations:

(Also see our Airline Discounts & Rental Car Discountweb page.)

Please see the "Location" page for more details about Anchorage and the hotel.

We recommend you use the special DSN reservation web site for hotel reservations:
http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/groups/personalized/ancahhf_dsn/index.jhtml
For on-line reservations you may need to enter the 3-letter SRP code: "DSN" as the Group/Convention Code.

Our block rate expires May 16, 2008, and is US $195/night single/double, non-inclusive of meals. After May 16th, the rate will go up to the hotel retail rate of approximately US $290/night. (If you missed the deadline and call the hotel, it doesn't hurt to ask and see if they will give it to you, but probably they will charge you about US $290 now that it is past the hotel deadline.)

Alternately, you can contact Hilton Worldwide Reservations by phone:
1-800-445-8667 (toll-free USA); or see this Hilton web page for regional phone numbers.
Be sure to specify "SRP CODE DSN" to get the block room rate.

The conference hotel is:
Hilton Anchorage
500 West Third Ave.
Anchorage, AK 99501
USA
Toll free customer assistance: 1-800-245-2527 (USA only)
Hotel operator: +1-907-272-7411
Hotel fax: +1-907-265-7044
Hotel main web site: http://www.anchorage.hilton.com

There is a $50 early check-out fee at the Hilton. This applies after you check in if you leave before your stated departure date. However, you can change your departure date at any time before and during the check-in process without a penalty. (So, if you need to change your departure, don't forget to do it while you are checking in.) You must cancel a reservation 72 hours in advance to avoid forfeiting your deposit or having your credit card charged as a "no show." Check-in is 3 PM; check-out is 12 Noon.

Room Sharing:
If you wish to share a room, please send e-mail to Jen Black at: roommate@dsn08.org with the following information:
Gender (M/F); Student (Y/N); Smoker (Y/N). She'll provide a name of a possible match. We act as a referral service only and can bear no responsibility for the actual room sharing arrangement, which is entirely up to you. If in doubt, reserve a 2-bed room by the deadline, because it is easier to cancel if you find someone to share with who already has a room than it is to find a room after the deadline!

Overflow Hotel:
If the Hilton is full, please contact Jen Black at: roommate@dsn08.org and ask if we have identified an overflow hotel. We can't guarantee availability, but we'll try to help you out.

Also, see the DSN 2008 Discussion Web Site for postings about accomodations, travel plans, and other relevant information.
