ItemsDescription
LEGOs.

LEGO's are always a good buy!

Even used ones. Even storage items for ones I already have.
(Dark) brown leather dress belt with gold(-ish) buckle Maybe even one that is reversible with black on the opposite side. (size)
Wool sweater A sweater that is as thick as possible and of natual color.
Fill up the old toolbox! Screwdrivers, pliers, level, etc.
Slippers Leather outer and sole, wool lined. For shuffling around the house. Available here or here or here. Also try here and here.
"Design Paradigms: Case Histories of Error and Judgment in Engineering" By Dr. Henry Petroski, a professor of civil engineering at Duke University; (Cambridge, 1994) I saw this one mentioned online, somewhere. If it looks interesting, I'd like it. Have not had a chance to really evaluate it myself.
The Art of Computer Programming: ???? By Donald Knuth. Any versions / volumes of these books (there is a long series) is wonderful! Used is great, significantly cheaper than new and they've been in print for over 20 years.
Other "classic" type books are good, too. Used is as good as new.
Dr. Seuss Books They rock!
Titles I already have: Oh, The Places You'll Go!, Bartholomew and the Oobleck, Please Try to Remember the First of Octember
Used hardcover books "Classics," Sci-Fi authors, fun books.
No sense getting new ones, when old ones still have the same words. Hardcover lasts longer.
Bookcase with doors Gotta keep the books somewhere. Doors (glass, see-through type) keep the dust off of the shelves and books.
leather wallet Current one is wearing thin.
Bi-fold made of dead cow is good.
Cool stuff Lots of random junk here that seems to be pretty cool. Forever Flashlight, (Code Monkey|Reverse Engineer) T-shirt, Levitron, Micro-Plus Multi-tool, USB Cell Phone Charger (Nokia 3360),
Battery-less watch. Sweeping second hand (no "tick-tick-tick" for the second hand) and must be wound by hand or wrist-motion. Old (used) is better than new.
ZipZaps micro-RC car For racing around D-level conference room table. :-)

(Available at RadioShack.)

Another option at Nikko (here especially).

Bathrobe Some big, white fuzzy thing to lounge around in.
Black or white wool scarf For dress-up occasions.
Combination CD-RW, DVD drive. A drive for my computer that is a CD reader, CD-writer, and DVD-reader. Should cost about $50 to $100. Name brand is good, not necessary. I have plenty of blank CD-Rs to burn. Go to www.pricewatch.com and do a search for "combo dvd cd-r" to get an idea.
Wind-up cymbals-playing monkey. No batteries. (I already have one that uses batteries.) Clockwork guy that makes noise by bashing two pieces of metal together. This is to be my "Code Monkey" for taking care of simple programming tasks for me.
Tupperware Storage items. Tumblers with lids (12 oz?). Serving / mixing bowls.
Flannel sheets. Queen size, to fit the nice big bed I have now.
Pillows A couple polyester-fill pillows to supplement the down pillows I have.
Arcade video game The kind you stand in front of is cool.
Even better are the little table-top ones that you sit at the end of and play.
