L. Richard Carley



L. Richard Carley (lrc@electra.ece.cmu.edu) received the S.B., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the Massachusetts institute of Technology, Cambridge, in 1976, 1978, and 1984, respectively. He worked for M.I.T.'s Lincoln Laboratories and has acted as a consultant in the area of analog circuit design and design automation for Analog Devices and Hughes Aircraft, among others. In 1984 he joined Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, PA and in 1992 he was promoted to full professor. His current research interests include the development of CAD tools to support analog circuit design, the design of high-perfomance signal processing IC's employing analog circuit techniques, and the design of low-power high speed magnetic recording channels.
