The Analog Group in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Carnegie Mellon University was established in 1986 to bring together people working in the area of analog integrated circuits. Over the years, we have gained considerable expertise in a wide variety of areas. Research conducted by the Analog Group falls into one of two major categories -- either analog, mixed-signal, and smart sensor IC design or CAD tool development.

The Analog Group conducts research in a wide range of areas. In addition to traditional analog design, we have extensive efforts in automated analog circuit synthesis, automatic mask generation from netlists, simulation tools, and signal processing for mass storage systems.
