Overview

We are pleased to share the videos that we collected starting as early as 1980's, when fluorescence imaging just started to reveal exciting events in live cells.  Cell labeling was achieved by a painstaking process involving protein purification, fluorescence conjugation, and microinjection into live cells, before the convenient GFP technology became widely used in the 1990's.  The readers are encouraged to consult the original publications for detailed descriptions and discussions.
