A. Women in ECE is for all women associated with ECE at Carnegie Mellon: undergraduates, graduates, alumni, faculty and staff.
A. Although there is no formal membership, all graduate and undergradute women who have officially declared a major in Electrical and Computer Engineering are automatically considered members. All ECE women are encouraged to participate to the extent they can, as the success of building this community will be based on the individuals involved in it.
A. WinECE events include professional development seminars and workshops, fun social activities, outreach, and many more.
A. Officer elections are held once a year, generally in the spring. They are announced via e-mail to all of the women in ECE. Throughout the semester, the officers may establish planning committees for particular events. These will be open to volunteers, and will also be announced by e-mail. Finally, if there is something in particular that you would like to help out with (regardless of committee existence), or if you just have a great idea, feel free to contact any of the WinECE officers.
